The Shimmer Shack didn’t start in a perfect little studio
It started in the middle of real life

In Mudgee
With five daughters, pets, chaos, and a never ending list of “mum can you…”

I’m Anna, also known as That Glitter Chick
The face behind the glitter, the hands behind your orders, and the brain behind the names you probably shouldn’t repeat in public 😏

What started as a love of creating quickly got a little out of hand
Late nights
Cup turners spinning
Resin experiments everywhere
One idea turning into ten more before the first one was even finished

And somewhere in that chaos, The Shimmer Shack was born

But let’s be clear, this isn’t a one woman show

Behind the scenes is a full blown family operation

The Husbeast - Pete, after 11 years in the Army, swapped structure for sparkle and now helps out where he can, usually with glitter in places he never expected

Our five girls are right in the mix
Equal parts chaos, creativity, and brutally honest feedback

They help pack orders
Test products
Hype ideas
And remind me every day why I started this in the first place

Because this was never just about glitter

It was about building something of my own
Something my girls could watch grow
Something that showed them you don’t have to play it safe to create something meaningful

The pets supervise

This business was built in between everything
School runs
Snack demands
Life happening all at once

There were late nights where I was exhausted
Moments of doubt
Times I questioned if it would even work

But I kept going

Because I wanted more than just getting through the day
I wanted to build something I was proud of
Something that felt like me

Messy
Loud
Creative
A little inappropriate
And completely real

Every piece that leaves here is handmade, packed with care, and touched by a little bit of that chaos

This isn’t mass produced
This isn’t perfect

It’s real life, just covered in glitter

Around here, we don’t do boring

We do bold
We do sparkle
We do “did she really just name that glitter that?”

And somehow, between the chaos, the kids, and the glitter explosions
This little shack has grown into something more than I ever imagined

A community
A family effort
A comeback
And proof that you can build something incredible, even when life isn’t calm, quiet, or perfectly planned
